Mary Easty was the sister of Rebecca Nurse, and it seems that this is the entire grounds for her accusation, conviction and execution. Little is known about Mary, other than that she was tried April 21 with William and Deliverance Hobbs and Sarah Wildes. All four of those tried on the twenty-first were from the border area between Salem Village and Topsfield, to the north, and had the unique distinction of having never met their accusers before.

Mary Easty was hanged on Gallows Hill, September 22, 1692.
