Little is known of exactly what happened to Wilmot Redd. It is known that she was examined by the court sometime in early September, and condmened for witchcraft. The circumstances of the trial, who her accuser(s) was/were, and why she was accused have all been lost. When the government of Salem began reimbursing relatives of those who had died, no one made a claim for the death of Wilmot Redd. It seems she was the last of her family, and thus had no one to speak for her at her trial.

Wilmot Redd was hanged on Gallows Hill, September 22, 1692.
