Betty (Elizabeth) Parris was the nine year-old daughter of Reverend and Elizabeth Parris. Born in Boston on November 28, 1682, she went on to join her cousin Abigail Williams and others, in starting the witch-hunt by accusing Sarah Good, Tituba, and Sarah Osborne of bewitching both her and her friends. In March of 1692 she was sent to live among family in Salem Town, and was thus removed from the witch-trials.
