Alice Parker was the wife of a Salem mariner, accused by Mary Warren on the same day as Ann Pudeator and John Proctor. Mary's testimony included the allegation that Alice had "confessed to her that she had lately killed a man on board a ship by the harbor, and had bewitched another boy to death 'as his master was carrying him out to sea.'" Mary's allegations were most likely given her by Thomas Putnam, or another one of the girls, as they had far more details and specifics than Mary herself had previously been able to list. Alice was then transfered to Boston for examination, on the orders of the new attorney general, Thomas Newton, along with Sarah Good, Rebecca Nurse, John Willard, John and Elizabeth Proctor, Susannah Martin, Bridget Bishop, and Tituba.
